Joleen Steel has a passion for unleashing the creative potential of young musicians. This passion is informed by her wealth of teaching experience as a public school teacher, home school mom, and piano teacher. But the real impetus behind New Song Music—her thriving music instruction and piano retail business—is Joleen’s desire to nurture in children and youth the lifelong joy of making music. New Song Music teachers make this pursuit more accessible than ever by traveling to students’ homes. They also make learning fun by using a variety of hands-on musical learning activities, many of which Joleen has developed herself.

Leslie Royalty Lead Teacher
Originally from San Diego, CA, Leslie Royalty attended Wheaton College and then moved to Jacksonville, FL where she worked for a non-profit Christian organization for the past five years. She recently returned to the Wheaton area and has joined the New Song Music team as a piano teacher! Leslie began playing piano at the age of 5 and has participated in numerous music teams and choirs throughout her life. Her passion for music has led to her desire to help children discover and develop their own unique musical abilities. Through creative and experiential teaching methods, Leslie seeks to impart solid music theory and technique while ultimately fostering within each child the true joy of music!
